Major Matthew H. Morrow - Decorated Veteran and Adaptive Athlete

A decorated military veteran with a passion for helping other veterans, Major M. H. Morrow spent two decades in various roles with the US Air Force (USAF). As a USAF officer, he served in positions such as shift commander, training officer, chief systems security, and United Nations military observer. Major Morrow had the Best Security Forces Unit in the 16th Air Force in 1998 and the Best Security Forces Large Unit for the entire U.S. Air Force in 1999.

Major Morrow also earned more than two dozen military decorations during his career, including 3 Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, the nine Commendation Medals, and the National Defense Service Medal with Service Star. He is a graduate of the USAF Air Command and Staff College, Marine Corps Command and General Staff College and earned a master's degree in management from Webster University.

Also a proponent of adaptive sports for military veterans, Major Morrow participates in adaptive skiing and other outdoor sports. He has sponsored the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, a program through which disabled veterans learn skills for adaptive skiing, snowshoeing, and sled hockey. In addition, he volunteers with veterans organizations, including the Highland County Honor Guard, and is a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
